As Christmas is fast approaching, toy commercials are already beginning to invade our screens and letter box. On televisions and catalogs, these objects come to life to make children dream and someday end up in their hands. Los Angeles-based self-taught toy photographer, Mitchel Wu wanted to explain in a short video how he proceeds to animate these plastic figurines. The artist, who works for Disney, Warner Bros and Kinder, uses several special effects to create action and give movement to his photos. Explosion, compressed air, thrown dirt or water… It only remains to capture the moment, to give the impression of a real action scene.
